Have XP Professional SP 1a - need w/SP 2 on disk or Virtual PC?

I am trying to move from a PC to Mac using Windows on Mac, but it requires
installing with a SP 2 disk or using Virtual PC. I just realized that my
disk is XP Professional SP 1a. I wish to use my current license to make this
change, but not sure how to get the whole thing as SP2 onto a disk for
uploading and not familiar at all with what Virtual PC is or how to use.
Any suggestions? Was hoping to be back up and running today...

Thanks so much and Happy New Year! ;-)

Hi Mark - I'm also trying to do the same thing, but unfortunately I have the
XP Pro SP1a CD that I received from Dell w/my computer and I can not create a
bootable CD. I've tried installing XP SP1a on my mac, which worked, and I've
tried, unsuccessfully, to install the SP2 update....which now is preventing
me from loading the mac drivers I need to be able to get back to using my
mac. The error I get when installing the SP2 is that there is not enough
memory for the uninstall, that I need 4MB available for the uninstall. I
have 32 GB available - so I dont get what this error is all about. Any ideas?

Thanks! - Erin
