...has expired

My copy of MS Antispyware says it has expired as of 31 of
July 2005. I am supposed to contact Microsoft for an
updated version?

First verify you have the correct Date/Time.
Go to Regional Settings in Control Panel.
Click Customize button
Click Date Tab.
Select the top option from each of the drop down menus.
If you still have problems, try other settings on that page.
Hopefully Microsoft will fix this in a later build.

Please re-read the message and verify that it "has"
expired and not "will" expire.
Then check your clock.
Do the easy things first...
