hardware detect problem

Every time I start up XP, I get a "hardware detected"
window begin in Hardware wizard. It is looking for
software for 'VID_0436 PID_80000010'. There IS no software
available for this unkown device. I have to 'Cancel'
everytime to end the window. This, I have to do each and
everytime I start up XP pro.
=In Device Manager under network adapters there are two
adapters listed 1) 1394 net adapter (with yellow
exclamation beside it) and 2) SMC EZ card PCI 10 adapter
(SMC1208)(no problem).
=Under my IEEE 1394 BUS HOST Controller the device listed
is 'Texas instruments OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 host
controller'.
Is there a conflict involved between all these 'said'
devices, giving me this hardware detect at startup?
What way do I go?

.
By connecting the printer directly, I have now corrected
the problem of hardware detection wizard starting up. I
disconected a splitter to an older MP3 type player
called "I-jam" (no longer used) that connected to the
parallel port sharing with the printer. In WIN98 there was
never an issue. Obviously in WINXP Pro there is.
Unfortunately I still have the error problem involved with
Device manager network adapter. An unrelated error problem
it would seem.
