Firewire IEEE 1394 device start error

Hi,

I bought a ADS Tech PYRO PCI 64, which is a PCI IEEE 1394 Firewire card with
3 ports. When I installed it, the Windows show me in the "IEEE 1394 Bus host
controllers" that there is a "Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394
Host Controller" device, and is working properly. But under the Network
adapters, the new device for the IEEE 1394 Net Adapter shows error, that
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
What to do?
I have Win XP Home, SP2.

Thanks,
Z

Nothing! This is normal and you can safely disable it. IEEE 1394 Firewaire
permits a firewire network type connection, which you do not have
caonnected.

Hi,

Thanks. So does it mean that I can uninstall that Net driver, and live on
with the IEEE Host controller driver. So I can connect my Mini DV to it
without any problems?
Last time I tried, it didn't recognize my JVC DR72U. Or it might be that
there needs to be some config change either on my JVC and on my computer for
it to work.
I'll try it out again.
