IEEE 1394 Controller - Device Cannot Start Error

Requesting assistance with an ongoing error with firewire connection. Device
manager dislays a Yellow exclamation error against IEEE 1394 controller.
Reviewing details shows the following error:

IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers
IEEE 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller Vendor
PCI Slot 4 (PCI bus 3, device 1, function 0)

Device Status
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

Troubleshooting has not worked which includes changing PCI slots, rebooting,
uninstalling, reinstalling hardware and drivers. NB: This has occurred for
both the onboard 1394 connection and a recently purchased card

Any assistance would be most appreciated

I'm in the same position - got cd with the card but despite rebooting many
times etc it still won't recognise the card. Please please can someone help

I'm in the same position, installed card and put in cd that came with it but
despite rebooting uninstalling etc a number of times no joy, Any help would
be appreciated
