Hello,
I have a problem with my Windows XP.
I crashed one of my computers while trying to upgrade the processor (the
mainboard was damaged). So I took the harddisk and inserted it in an older
computer that functions as spare. This older computer is still on Windows
ME, so I can't see the XP (NTFS) harddisk as a second harddisk when I insert
it and I have to insert the XP disk as the boot disk.
However, when booting from the XP disk I come only in the text mode. I can
select there safe mode but it still won't continue into graphic mode.
Everything on those computers (CPU, mainboard, graphic card, network card,
etc.) is different but I would expect that I could at least access safe
mode.
Does anyone have suggestions how I can get this functioning. I ask this also
because I have to order a new motherboard and cpu and I wouldn't like it if
those gave the same problems.
Thanks!
Wim
