I installed a new hard drive primarily to capture video.
I have several accounts on my computer (XP Home) and I
want to make the folders on the new hard drive private.
However, the dialog box for the properties of the folders
on the new hard drive does not permit me to make the
folders private. Obviously I cannot copy the files to my
other hard drive as they are much too large.

Any advice?

HI:

Take ownership of files and folders to make private.

.. To be able to take ownership make sure you are running NTFS file system
B) Go to tools\folder options\view\remove check in simple file sharing
(recommended)
Proceed according to instructions in the link(s) bellow.

not have
permissions for if you are an administrator for that computer

.. It's posible you may have to grant yourself full permissions in Advanced
Options\Effective Permissions tab.
