hard drive problems

i have a drive taht is formatted with windows xp. i slaved the drive to a
machine with win 2000pro to copy some files for a comlete upgrade. Now it is
slaved to a win xp drive, i cannot find the files i need to back up, nor can
i boot into that drive anymore. can anyone give me any hints or solutins as
to how i can retrieve the files i need. (they are outlook express secondary
identity files, and the path for saving them was not apparent when i checked
for them. i have tried show all hidden files and still nothing.) thank you in
advance for your help.
