I have a 10gig HD. It shows up fine in DOS and BIOS, but when it comes up
in Windows, it only shows up as a 5gig....??? How can I fix that?

Thanks

You don't mention if this is you boot drive or not. What is the size of the
partition, that's what windows sees.

This sounds as if, when it was initially set up, only a 5GB partition
was made. The rest of the disk may be sitting idle, or it *may* (if
this is an OEM installation - say an HP machine) be in use for
restoration of the system if things fail (though that would be a very
large proportion to use for this). As a start, Control Panel - Admin
Tools - Computer Management, select Disk Management and look lower right
for the graphic of the drive. If it shows a 5GB partition and
'Unallocated space' beyond, then you have the choice of immediately
r-clicking in that unallocated space and Create Partition, going on the
Format, and use this as a second drive for data, or of getting third
party software to expand the C: partition. I'd settle for the second
data partition

If it shows some other partition there, I would read the manuals
carefully to see what it might be intended for
