had bad luck with USB drives but I think it is just that, bad luck.
I know many computer users, we all tried them, and we all dumped
them about the same time.
Maybe in a year or two they will get better and faster.
I will give them another chance then.
I told this company owner that I am dumping USB, and
he said he never had a problem. Few months later he
told me that he is dumping USB. He spent $450 on two
USB drives, he could have bought a backup computer
for that money.
It is the norm already, it has been out for over a
year and a half.
All new motherboards come with 1000/100 these days
and on all high end older computers.
It is an expensive upgrade, but I would start putting
1000/100 adapters now. They work OK with 100/10
switches.

1000/100 while becoming more common is not the norm yet. None of my
existing customers have any plans to upgrade.
