hard disk lights & my computer cannot endup wupdater.exe

P'se somebody help me with this problem. my hard disk
lights continuous, & my computer does prompt ENDING
PROGRAM: wupdate.exe When shutting down.
The prompting started after unistalling SYSTEM MECHANIC
trial version.
..

Hi,

Might want to update your antivirus software and run a full system scan.
Wupdate.exe is a virus file, not part of WindowsXP.
