Hard Disk Errors

could anyone advise as to an error message I get when
trying to defrag my drive
(STRUCTURE ERRORS ON YOUR HARD DISK) how do I proceed to
repair this?
also I am unable to do a system restore It seem to
perform it but after the log on screen it returns the
message UNABLE TO PERFORM SYSTEM RESTORE and reverts to
present date

Click START.
Click RUN.
Type (without quotes in each case): "cmd"
<enter>
Type: "chkdsk c: /v/r"
<enter>

It will say that it cannot do such & such...and ask if you want to schedule
blah blahblah. Say yes.

Reboot.
Watch.
