half of my emails do not arrive with recipient

i don't seem to be able to send messages successfully to hotmail accounts in
particular. especially if they have attachments. outlook says they are sent
but they do not arrive with recipient. anyone any ideas?

Are you saying the entire email doesn't arrive or just the attachment?
Are you using rich text format? If so, change it to plain text or HTML since
rich text is specific to Microsoft Outlook. That means non Outlook clients
have trouble with or cannot read the emails and most likely the attachments
are stripped out.

no the entire email fails to arrive. i get no notification of the failure
either. it happens with emails without attachments too, but not as often.
