It looks like there is a RTS mod out for HL2, I'm going to give it a go tonight and see what it's like :) Should be interesting!

I've just had a little go now and it's quite fun - it's certainly a very clever use of the HL2 engine. It's basically a top-down view of the normal game.

I did get a crash, ironically at the exact scene above - probably as I lobbed a grenade into 30 antlions.

Worth a shot if you are a HL2 fan :) More maps are going to be released soon.
 
First person is my mode of choice, but if i was really honest I think it's because of the simplicity...RTS games always seem to involve a heavy learning curve for a lazy person like me:o

I remember playing wargames with my brothers when we were kids and we used different pieces of paper with tanks and half tracks, soldiers etc drawn on them, and rolled dice and used a ruler to measure impacts!:D Some of the best fun I ever had:nod:

I reckon I'm missing out by avoiding RTS, but I think i could also get very hooked on them
