Half Life 2 holds up fairly well and will run on almost any PC nowadays, although HL1 may look a little long in the tooth.

Funnily enough, I bought the "remastered" version of HL1, so I'm about to play it this week

I have not played any of the remastered games, played all the series through though. Aiming to get a copy of Black Mesa sometime as the graphics look fab.
