Hi

I have a Win2K Server on our network, set up as a PDC. It's primary function
is to handle logins and Exchange. The GUI freezes constantly (requiring a
reboot to fix) even though the server itself is available on the network.
People can log in on their PC's fine, and Exchange is available so email is
working .. but you can't physically work on the PC since everything locks
up. Rebooting will fix the problem temporarily, but after the machine sits
unattended for a while (which is normal) it will lock up the GUI next time
someone tries to access it.

Any ideas?

The PC is a P4 1.7GHz with 1GB DDR

Thanks,
Jeff

How much RAM in that server? Anything in the eventlogs?

Can you access it using "remote Desktop Connection" or telnet? Once
there you can actually do some work on the server, logoff the locked
session and do some troubleshooting as well.
