Your version of this Report is not the one normally reported, which
incorporates
a reference to line 44. Have you recently installed a TV Tuner card? If yes
what
make and model? You could have a driver problem.

Event ID: 51 -lots of suggestions here:
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=51&eventno=793&source=Disk&phase=1

It looks like a problem associated with your hard drive. More information is
needed to
try to sort out which of the various suggestions might apply to your
situation.

What is the make and model of your computer? What is the make and model of
your chipset?

This freeware programme is excellent for getting information
about your computer:
Everest Home Edition (freeware)
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html

Tip: To copy select Report, Quick Report, Plain Text, highlight
required text, right click and select copy. However, whilst this
is fine for posting small amounts of information into newsgroup
messages longer reports will irritate other newsgroup
subscribers.

I would also try HD Tune (freeware).
Download and run it and see what it turns up.
http://www.hdtune.com/

Select the Info tabs and place the cursor on C:\ under Drive letter
and then double click the two page icon ( copy to
Clipboard ) and copy into a further message.

Select the Health tab and then double click the two page icon ( copy to
Clipboard ) and copy into a further message.

Also do a full surface scan with HD Tune.

Nope I dont have a tv tuner.

Here is the necessary information:

Computer:
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
OS Service Pack Service Pack 2
DirectX 4.09.00.0904
(DirectX 9.0c)
Computer Name CHONG
User Name Kenneth Chong

Motherboard:
CPU Type Intel Pentium 4,
2800 MHz (21 x 133)
Motherboard Name VIARAMA U8668 (Pro)
(3 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 CNR, 2 SDR DIMM, 2 DDR DIMM, Audio, Video, LAN)
Motherboard Chipset VIA VT8751 Apollo
P4M266
System Memory 512 MB (PC2100 DDR
SDRAM)
BIOS Type Award (01/31/04)
Communication Port Communications Port
(COM1)
Communication Port Printer Port (LPT1)

Anyway, my computer is running at a terribly slow speed for everything it
does, even opening a new web page. The weird thing about it is windows task
manager shows cpu usage at usually around 10-20% even though the cpu busy
indicator is always red, always.

Furthermore I have noticed the computer lags itermittenly, so that my itunes
songs play for a few seconds and then stops, and then plays again, for
example. Just some small notes if they help.

,I have also tried out hdtune but dont seem to be able to copy to the
clipboard, or rather I dont know how to access it. (I cant highlight C drive
either).

I ran the benchmark test however, and the graph was one with very sharp
fluctuations up and down. Burst rate is 2.9mb/sec which is equal to my max
rate (avg is 2.3mb/sec), and cpu usage is 75.4%.

For information on the hard drive, which i am unable to copy and paste,
everything is ticked except: automatic acoustic management, advanced and
interface power management, power up in standby and native command queing.

To copy into a message with the Report open you click on the left of
five icons towards the top right. Then open message and paste. The
Health tab and the scan of the drive are the more important.

Have you receive any further Warning or Error reports since 17 March
in Event Viewer? Have Event ID 4609 and Event ID 51 reoccurred?

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties. Hardware,
Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Try Start, Run, type "sigverif.exe" without quotes and hit OK. What drivers
are listed as unsigned? Disregard those which are not checked.

Did Everest report any problems with drivers?

Hope this helps.

,I have also tried out hdtune but dont seem to be able to copy to the
clipboard, or rather I dont know how to access it. (I cant highlight C
drive

Your version of this Report is not the one normally reported, which
incorporates
a reference to line 44. Have you recently installed a TV Tuner card? If
yes
what
make and model? You could have a driver problem.

Event ID: 51 -lots of suggestions here:
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=51&eventno=793&source=Disk&phase=1

It looks like a problem associated with your hard drive. More information
is
needed to
try to sort out which of the various suggestions might apply to your
situation.

What is the make and model of your computer? What is the make and model
of
your chipset?

Yes, there is just one yellow sign in device manager: a code ten on a
speakerphone modem which is not in use.

I see lots of eventID 7 on event viewer, as well as 51, 1000, 474, 1517, and
really, many many others-- i'd send the files to your email account if there
wasnt delivry failures via hotmail.

The following files were not digitally signed: ati2evxx.exe, atioglxx.dll,
alcacr.sys, alcanswn.sys, alcandsl.sys, alcawh.sys.

Er no, everest didnt report any problems with the drivers if you're
referring to the yellow question marks on it.
