Group Policy

I have been reading the deployment guide and I have a question. I have
set-up my server and now I am trying to get a client configured. When can I
use the group policy configuration and when do I need to edit the registry?
Our domain is NT4 so no AD. Most clients are Win 2000.

Group Policy is a feature of Active Directory. No AD, no toys.

The best you can do with NT4 is System Policy (poledit.exe) which is quite
fiddly and lacks features. If you do end up using system policy, I'd
recommend you use it only to manage user settings and not computer settings.
