Gravis gamepad & XP

Chris

Before I upgrade to Win XP I want to check if my hardware will work or
not. What about my Gravis Gamepad? Does it work under XP or will I
need a driver (I can't seem to find one).
Thanks in advance for any info.

Well the good news is that WinXP has it's own drivers
that work with almost any gamepad so you don't need to
install any additional drivers if it is a USB. It will
automatically see it and install it for you. Then you can
go into your CONTROL PANEL and Game Controllers and test
to see if it works properly. The problem you may have is
with older games. Some older games take keys and map them
or "emulate" them onto the joystick/gamepad. WinXP has
some problems with this in older games. Your pad should
work fine for it especially if it is a Microsoft gamepad.
The only problem is with the game's key emulation or
mappings working with WinXP.

GoodLuck,
Chris P.

Have you tried support at Gravis, new 4.5 drivers:
