Graphics problem though spec OK

My spec is sis730s board - AMD Duron +1200 CPU, 256Mb RAM, Winfast
A340 128Mb graphics card, DirectX 9c, running Win2K.
It works but poor quality on animated graphics!
Reloaded latest card drivers etc but no joy.
Is my hardware compatible?
There is a sticker on the graphics card AGP8X - Does this need some
other driver for the motherboard?

Any help would be appreciated as I'm now getting fed up restarting the
PC for the 1000th time!!!!!

plugandplay - HA!

OK, well your motherboard has a 4X AGP slot, and your video card is 8X.
That might work, as some 8X cards will work at 4X also, but I suspect the
voltage of your AGP slot is too high. You need to contact whoever made your
motherboard to see what the voltage of that slot is, and then contact
Leadtek to ask them what voltage is required by the card. -Dave

Who is the motherboard maker and what is the model# ?

SIS730s is the chipset, not the motherboard.
Winfast A340 128Mb graphics card, DirectX 9c, running Win2K.

Is that a FX5200 or FX5500 card?

3D graphics? video? Be more specific.
What are you doing when you experience poor quality?

It shouldn't matter, you can run an 8x card in a 4x motherboard.

Why are you restarting your PC?
