got cd key but register failure

i got my e-mail for my cd1 and key but when i try to
install it my cd key came out invalid. i did a clean install
with xp due to too many glitches in beta 2.
don't understand why it won't validate

Check your timezone and time.

unplug from the internet - then you will be presented the option to call
free the automatic-phone-service from MS.

If your Key is "real" and from MS sent to you, they will give you the
unlocking Key without a doubt and without questions why you not use
internet.

Also sometimes the activation-server seems to be down.
Imagine all the thousand people now activating Vista RC1 and Office and
whatever elese...

I could not activate my last installation, so I called them ( its a
roboter )

and they did it via Phone by giving you an "unlocking key"- if you type
that in, then vista also says "Activation was succesful" and the Properties
of System say "genuine"

Like I said - if the Key is legit than that is their service to customer,
cause there are still people that do not have internet or a Windows that
hasn't detected the Network correct.. and then you need a good old phone,too

i get a registration failure on my RC1 installation. I've tried to look for a
phone number that you described but I just get instructions to diagnose my
connection problems.

Do you still have the phone number you used to activate?
