Hi Sam,

The Product Key attached to the laptop is for the operating system that was
installed when you purchased it. The upgrade DVD would have come with its
own Product Key. If your friend used it, then you will need for him to
purchase one and give it to you, as it is only usable for installation to
one machine. To use the Product Key affixed to the laptop, you would have to
reinstall the original supplied operating system.
or tell me how to uninstall this vista so that i can go to my previous
vista
which was already registered???

You don't uninstall Vista after upgrading, you format and create a new
installation from the original media disks (and I suspect that what you got
was a Recovery Partition on your laptop, not a disk). If you do not have
this, you will need to contact the manufacturer for a set.

I like being blunt! Using the same install key on two computers is called
stealing.

There are mechanisms in place to prevent this. Tell your friend to buy his
own.
