I don't know if it's the same elsewhere, but it's an absolutely gorgeous day here today in Manchester

The first time this year it's been properly warm and sunny :D

Really makes me want a BBQ, but then it is a Tuesday morning with work to do

It's gorgeous in York too. Shame im stuck in an office, Grrrr!!

Ian, just on a side note. I forgot you lived in Manchester. Has there been any talk of the UEFA Cup Final there? Think there will be about 100,000 Rangers fans there that night, any talk of setting up a big screen to watch it etc?

If not, what are good pubs to watch footie in, in the centre of Manchester?

Yesterday was good, today is even better.

A cautious welcome to better weather from me :)

It can't be any worse than last year can it? Please.... three weeks in April doth not a summer make (Shakespeare).

(That's Ronnie Shakespeare, the greengrocer on Elmore Street).

I've not heard anything about this yet, but I would think it would be on big screens dotted all over the place. If I hear anything about it, I'll let you know :thumb: It might be worth checking the manchester.gov.uk website as they are usually good when it comes to events.

There's always a big screen on in the centre of Manchester (outside the Printworks) and that has a great little pub called Sinclairs Oyster Bar (but this will be heaving on a sunny/football day). There's the Walkabout bar which has 2 big projectors which is where I went for the Newcastle/Chelsea game yesterday - so that might be a good 2nd option. I think pretty much any pub with a TV will be showing it :)

Spent this morning cutting a friends lawn while they are away, They really need a ride-on mower!!
Had a meeting this afternoon & their was hardly any traffic around.
Even the car park was cheap, £3 for 1.5 hours.
Now got a few jobs to do.

Sunny at Gatwick with hardly a cloud in the sky.
Possibly rain for tomorrow & then back to hot and sunny weather.

It's gorgeous here too, warm and sunny, lots of birds singing - and feeding their little ones :)

Flopps, that does look like a really nice pub
