Google Groups: Rats and Phooey

google.ca (Canada) is no longer a safe haven, they now have the new
*dis-improved* interface. Is there another URL we can use that still has
the "classic" interface?

Oddity - the link on the PWH web site works

http://groups.google.ca/advanced_gr...freeware&num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&scoring=d

the link in my sig file produces a change of certificate message
(google.com instead of google.ca)

Bleeagh. Down in my 'neck of the woods' (NZ) it's Groups beta, too.
I've been trying Google Groups as diverse as Cook Islands and India and
it's all the same. A mass conversion to ugly homogeny :p

They have not done it in Norway yet; but you might have some language
trouble... ;-)

Hey, neat!

Changing "hl=no" to "hl=en" produces the same format but with
"May 4" rather than "4 mai" etc.

Thank you all! I knew if there was a way to keep the old format this
group would find it. :) :) :)

Revisions have been uploaded to the PWH and PWH mirror sites. (Also rev.
- my sig file and the daily ACF info post)

On an aside, looks like Google has absorbed Froogle. Going to froogle.com
now leads you to froogle.google.com, which sports the same look as Google
and is exactly the same.

Froogle was created by Google. I guess they've decided it's ready for
the big time (it was in beta testing).
