Good wireless connection but unable to browse

I have a Sony laptop running Windows XP, with built in
wireless capability. I have a Linksys wireless router to
share my DSL connection.

I am showing a good wireless signal/connection, but when
I open IE, I can't display any web pages. However, when I
use a hardwire connection from the wireless router
directly to my laptop, I can browse just fine.

Any ideas?

Wendy, Did you enable MAC Filtering? What type of encryption did you set up
WAP WEP?

I'm having the same problem, also on a Sony with XP Pro.
It seems to have started about the same time I installed
some windows/ie updates...
