Why no WWW connection (Inet is okay...)

My son brought his laptop home from college. It finds the wireless network
just fine and connects with a good signal. However, when you try to open
Iexplorer, it says no connection is available.

When I disable the wireless connection and connect it by ethernet cable to
the router it works normally.

It worked wirelessly this summer and nothing I know of has changed. Any
idea what we should do?
