Go directly to limited login

We are a public library, and we have a number of public-access computers.
These computers have a limited login, which is used by our customers when
they use these public-access computers. There is also an administrative
login, which is used only by staff.

Every morning the staff powers on the computers. There are quite a few
computers to get up and going, as well as other things to do. We would like
to arrange it so that after we press the power button, the PC goes directly
into the limited login, without the staff having to come around again and
click on something.

In Control Panel I see the options where at login we can click a picture to
chose which login to go into, or we can pull from a drop-down. I do not see
where we have the option of going directly into the limited login.

Thanks

You might want to try the following:

Go to Start -> Run.
Enter the following into the Open box:

control userpasswords2

Click OK.
Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer".
In the box that pops up, replace Administrator in the User Name
box with the user name of your limited account.
Enter your password twice.
Note: You can leave the password box blank if your account does
not have a password.
Click OK twice and reboot to see if you get the desired results.
Make sure that you're logged in with the limited account.

If, at some point in time, you need to start these machines and
logon with another account, you will need to hold down the shift
key while Windows is starting up. This will present you with
either the Welcome Screen or the Logon to Windows dialog box
depending on how your machines are configured. From there you can
logon to the account that has administrative privileges.

This did allow up to go directly to the limited login. Thanks. The only
problem was that when I held down shift when Windows was starting, it booted
to the limited login (rather than giving a choice) and the mouse cursor was
not there. But I did find another way to get into administrator mode
(Basically uncheck the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this

There's a much more reliable way to do this. Review KB Article #315231
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231/) and edit the appropriate
registry keys. I've used this method in the past with great success.
