GMailIT v1 - Freeware - send stuff to gmail account

Hi
I use GMail and found it is a good place to build my private knowledge
base. I have lots of info (not private of course), articles, links,
funny texts, tips, code snippets... and so on... in my computer.

Well, I decided to send this type of data to my GMail account. I think
is safer there than in my UnBackuped hard drive. Since its not
private/confidential data I guess there are no privacy issues.

In GMail I have 1GB to store crap and I can use all the google search
power. Hard to do in my pc and have the info available online at the
same time.

I just needed a way to send stuff to my gmail account. Yes! I can use my
email client, but I want/need an easy and speedy way.
So... there is GMailIT.

It seems a cool idea, but how is it easier and speedier to send?

If it works, I need a GMail account...
(that I didn't request yet)

I didn't know you could use Gmail with an email client - do you need
special software to do this?

So far I've only been able to use it as an online webmail account.

What happens if someone sends new mail to a full GMail box ?
Does it bounce or is the oldest email deleted ?

You get a warning message at the top of your inbox when you reach 90% of
capacity. Then, according to their Help Center, " If you manage to go
over your storage limit, Gmail will hold your messages for 10 days until
you clear out some of your old messages to make way for new ones. If you
don't delete anything within the allotted time, you won't be able to
receive new messages and messages sent to your account will be returned to
the sender."

Ian.

Handy, BUT does that enable people to delete GMail emails from
the web site ?

Don't know, if I get my Gmail, I'll try it out and let you know.
