Gmail users?

I tried Google for this but had no luck.

Using Gmail, every once in a while I send a message before I wish to.
Evidently there's a keyboard shortcut I'm not aware of. All I can find with
Google in Ctrl-Enter, but I tried it and it doesn't work. Gmail help is no
help.

Anyone have any idea what I'm doing? I leave off the To field until I'm
ready to send but this doesn't work for replies.

TIA

I use email programs like OE6, Thunderbird, etc. for my email including
gmail. I find using your own email program is far better than using
those webmail sites, don't you think too?

Probably. I use Eudora with my ISP's email server. However, other than
the problem I mentioned I've had no problem with Gmail in the many years
I've used it and I can easily put a lot of email in the Cloud with it
(imprtant stuff I save elsewhere).

It is still in the cloud even if you use your own email application. You
have two choices IMAP or POP3. I always use IMAP because everything
stays synced between all of your devices (including the cloud).

<Tab> then <Enter>

Press the Tab key followed by the Enter key. One by one *NOT*
simultaneously/together

Here's a list of Gmail keyboard shortcuts. Some of them can be turned
off:

The version of Eudora I use with ISP email saves stuff locally.

I doubt that's what I'm doing wrong. I can't recall ever using 'Tab' when
writing an email.
