GFXDRV.DRV Protection Fault

D

Dave

Four days ago, IE6.0 stopped working. Whenever I try to
open it, I get a general protection fault, at module
GFXDRV.DRV. I tried reloading my AGP video card software;
reinstalling Windows 98SE; removing and re-downloading (and
reinstalling) IE6.0; and I've used the Internet Explorer
Repair Tool, System File Checker, plus various utilities
associated with Norton Systemworks. I've done these
repeatedly. No success.
I've now downloaded Netscape Navigator and it works fine on
this computer. I'd like to be able to go back to IE, but
I'm at a loss of what to try next. Any suggestions? Thanks.

YW. Slowing down the acceleration means the card is in need of an
update...but I couldn't find any available for it so I think you're on the
right track now, Dave.[/QUOTE]
