Gfx card problems

Hello,

Ive had my graphics card (PYN Geforce 6600 GT APG) for a number of
months now but ive finally decided to do something about it. Im not
quite sure whats up with it exactly so ive recorded a little video of
what happens...

This only happens when im playing 3d games... yet cs:sourse will work
in 800x600 res in lowest possible graphics settings. After what you can
see on screen the computer completly crashes and have to reboot the
system manually.
Firstly, ive checked my power supply and changed it, still the same
problems occur. Then after that formatted whole computer and still the
problem occurs with the new drivers. Tried loads tbh... taking out
sound card, turning off on board sound, both.. checking ram.
so finally cant be bothered with the blunder from it and asking for
help

Could be overheating, have you tried taking the case off?

Yup, it sure could be caused by overheating.

Hardware issues can cause freezing, black screens and other
errors. Also, your drivers should always be kept up to date.

Try the following steps one at a time to try and resolve the issue.

1. Update DirectX and your Chipset, Sound, &Video Drivers:
For all Video / DirectX / Game and Hardware Issues, I have a

2. Dust your fans, vents and components using a 1/4" paintbrush
and a hose vacuum. Use compressed air for hard to reach places.
Set a housefan to blow cold air into your case to expose an over-
heating issue.. If it works add more fans or replace defective ones.
Use this Motherboard Monitor Utility: http://mbm.livewiredev.com

3. A faulty power supply can cause STOP errors, random reboots,
and black screen lockups. One way to test for that is to check the
wattage sticker on your power supply and then calculate your need

4. Test your RAM using: http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

Hi,

You could try to install a good airflow in your system, depending what
casing you are using. You can always ask your IT store for advise! My system
has been cooled by 3 fans, 1 big one and 2 small. The big one is taking care
off all the heat in my system, the 2 smaller ones sucking the cool air in.
