getting rid off old adress

My partner set up our outlook account. she used her name as the email adress
a.g. mrs-smith@whatever. Iv set up a new account in my name mr-smith@whatever
but am still receiving emails with her adress. How can I stop these from
coming through to my inbox or get rid of her account totally
