Getting rid of Windows Messenger 4.0

I have MSN Messenger 7 on my system. I also have Windows Messenger 4.0. I
cannot find a way to delete the latter, and it therefore always shows up in
my toolbar over in the right in the services sectoin. How can I delete
Windows Messenger 4.0 or at least not have it show? Thanks Ike

You should try: Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove
Windows Components.
Windows Messenger is be one of the programs you can disable there.

Windows Messenger is a part of the Windows and is use for Services such as
Remote Assistant and Desktop .I suggest you update to the newest version
first and then disable. Yes ,just disable because as I said it is a part from
the OS and can't be ^removed^///
