Getting rid of the Windows Security Alert Icon in tray

How do I get rid of the Windows Security Alert (Shield) in the Tray? Thank
you very much for your response.

You can hide it. Right-click an open area of the taskbar. Click
PROPERTIES|CUSTOMIZE
 
Click on the icon "security shield" in Control panel, click on the left side
of the windows and where its say change the way security ceneter alearts me,
you can change it there.

Go to the Security Center applet in Control Panel and open it. On the
left side, click the link that says, "Change how Security Center alerts
me". Set it to the way you want.
