I have windows XP with a 2006 Norton (Semantec) Antivirus program installed.
My problem is that a Norton popup appears every time I turn on the computer.
The only way I can get it off the desktop is by clicking twice. It would be
neat if I did not have to contend with this annoyance every day. I went to
Help on the Norton site but there was no help there. Any suggestions?

What's the content of the pop up? You might need to contact Symantec's
Tech Support.

I assume you are talking about the small popup on the lower right corner
which shows when it has completed the initialization after boot. It should
disappear by itself after a few seconds. Next time you boot don't touch it
and see if it does clear.
