getting my programs back

ok, just so you know, i'm not that savvy about most computer stuff...i
basically know nothing about the inner workings of a computer... my computer
got a virus...i sent it to a computer 911 company. they fixed it, using my
recovery disks a friend had made for me when i got it, but in the process,
said one of my recovery disks was corrupt, therefore, i never got my windows
xp programs and others back...what do i have to do? i have tried to contact
Compaq and can't get anyone...do i need to send for a new disk? anything i
can do on my own to restore what i had? please help! ...jean

If you don't have the disks to reinstall your applications, you'll have to
get them from Compaq (if they came bundled with the computer), unless you
purchase brand new ones.
