Getting Home network installed on a XP

Hello
I have run the installation and all seems to go well. However when I want to
see computes in the network, I get an error message: MSHOME is not available.
Maybe You are not authorised to use this resource ( a translation from
Swedish ). I get an installation disk and have installed the network to a
win98 machine, where I can see the network, but only the WIN98 machine in the
network.
Do anyone know what I have missed ?

First, disable windows internal firewall

Then disable all other firewalls and see if that helps.
