Getting a PPT in Viewer to convert to a regular, printable PPT Pre

I have a presentation that I have downloaded from a website. I already had
PPT viewer on my PC, just as I also have PPT '07. When I downloaded this
PPT, it automatically opens in viewer. If I save it, the extension is
..ppt...so why can't I open it as a regular PPT? In other words I need to be
able to print out the slides, but I'm unable to. It always opens in viewer.

Thank you!

once saved, open a blank presentation, then open your file from this
presentation

I wonder if your answer can be found in this PPT FAQ entry:
