Hi all,

I encountered an error after logging into Windows XP Home Edition Ver 2002.
I checked the event viewer and here is what is recorded:

Anyone can help me troubleshoot which program is causing this problem?

Do you have any anti-virus software installed? I have seen Zone Alarm cause
that error. Do you note the date and time when the Generic Host Processor is
caused-you may find that it happens when you close down the computer, but
the error message only gets reported when you start up. Obviously if it
occurs when shutting down-it doesn't matter all that much! The solution with
Zone Alarm is to shut it down manually before turning the PC off.

Yes, that's exactly wat happened in my laptop. I have only Norton Antivirus
2004 installed. Surprisingly, the error does not appear in subsequent
shutdown and restart anymore. Weird but no more problem. Thanks for the
reply.
