General Mail Failure in Excel

When trying to send an Excel document from within Excel, I receive the error
"the action could not be completed", followed by the second error "General
mail failure. Quit Microsoft Office Excel, restart the mail system, and try
again." I have tried a repair on both Excel 2003 & Outlook 2003 with no
better result.

Can anyone help with a resolution to this previously posted question?
