GeForce MX400 + XP

Hi

A friend of mine with XP wants to install this Geforce 2 MX400 Card, but
when he tries the computer he says just keeps restarting and doesnt load up.
When he puts in his old card it works fine again.

When he first put in the new card he said windows loaded up the drivers for
it, from what it had i imagine as he didnt install a CD or nothing.

I read it could be the drivers and try the new one.

I downloaded the new drivers for him, but my question is how can I/we
install them if it doesnt load up with the new card?
We havent tried safe mode, if it loads up to safe mode, can you install the
drivers from there?
Or will it work with the old card in, install the Geforce Drivers, then
restart with the new card in and it will then pick up the card?

If the PC wont boot with the new card, then its allways possible the card is
dead
Will it boot in safe mode with card fitted?

With the old card installed, remove it's drivers and set the video to plain
vanilla VGA.

Install the MX400, and if it's working, it should boot up in plain VGA.
Then install its drivers.

I'm using a similar card in several XP machines.
