Games Won't Reinstall At All

I ran into problems upgrading to XP Pro from XP Home. I ended up having to
do a parallel install and lost all previously installed programs in the
process. When trying to reinstall games, such as The Sims and Jumpstart
games, I get absolutely no response when I click "Install." When I explore
the disk to try to run the setup program I still get no response. Other
programs have reinstalled fine but I'm having no luck with games.

Let's try a couple of quick tests to get that working for you again:

1. Startup your system in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 repeatedly
while your system is booting up after you've shut down your system

2. Make sure you log on to one of your Administrator's accounts.
