games not playing

I upgraded from Windows Me to XP. Now our old games don't play because they
run on a 16 bit system. Is there a patch so my kids can play their games? The
message we get when we try and start the games is; 16 bit Windows subsystem,
c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. the system file is not suitable for running
ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose "close" to terminate the
application

Before you try the below corrections, run the Program Compatibility Wizard
under: Start>All Programs>Accessories>Program Comp Wizard
Also, if there is a website for your games, check if they have updated plugins
you can download for them that are compatible with XP.
