Game problems since DX9.0b installed

Everquest crashes to desktop, Warcraft 3 crashes to desktop. Haven't tried any other games. Changed RAM, changed drivers, even in safe mode, removed and reinstalled DX9, in safe mode. Reinstalled both games. Wiped and reloaded my machine, up till 4:00 am now, getting real po'd

Any tips

Am about to break down and go buy some new hardware, even though I can't really afford to do that right now. I really do enjoy playing my games
