I had a file in system 32 that was corrupt and ended up killing the Lsass
file so I could not log into Windows any longer. I reinstalled windows
without any problems but when i did, everything was gone? But not really
gone.

My original setup up was a HD with a F:\ , Now my HD is back to standard C:\?

I have nothing on my desktop and all my games, pics are wiped clean. Yet, My
HD is still full and World of Warcraft says it is still on my computer even
though I have no shortcut to launch it?

What is going on? Any help or insight is appreciated.

Since you re-installed Windows, you will also have to re-install all your
applications. Even though the software is still there, you will not be able
to use it in its current form.

Not entirely true.

Since he installed the new OS on top of the other OS without doing a
format the applications are still available however the user account he
used earlier with the shortcuts and configuration is gone.

You are now on a new user account and would have to create new
shortcuts and re-do all the modificiations you had on the previous user
account.

Most Windows applications create numerous registry entries. Without these
entries the applications won't run properly. Since the OP re-installed
Windows, the registry now lacks all references to the previous applications.
Re-creating shortcuts just won't work.

Thanks for the replies. I have tried to reinstall my applications. Still a
problem. Take World of Warcraft as an example. When I try to install it, I
get a message saying="World of Warcraft is already installed, there is no
need to install it again". I can't uninstall it, as it is nowhere to be
found.

Thanks again for any info

It is likely checking the install folder path and sees the files and
throws that error. Try changing the name of the program folder, say add
a letter to the front of the folder name and then try again.

Now you reached the stage where you are re-installing your applications and
running into problems, maybe easier to format the disk, clean install
Windows then re-install the applications.
