I have a game on my phone called QBubble. Object of the game is to get
rid of the bubbles by having at least 3 joined together as you shoot
with a coloured ball (changing the angle of fire).
(See
http://www.my-symbian.com/uiq/applications/applications.php?faq=3&fldAuto=460
for a pic of what I mean).
Is there a version for the PC that works for XP and is not made for
Win95. I tried one but it didn't work even in 95 Compatibility mode.
Thank
Puzzle Bobble sounds like what you want.

I wrote such a game for Win32 fullscreen DirectX 640x480x32. It is called
Match & Drop; not an original name, it seems. You can get it from my site at
http://www.freewebs.com/drussell/

Just unzip it to a directory, and run the exe. No registry usage, delete
directory to uninstall completely.

My version is just for a quick single-player diversion. It is modeled after
Taito's Puzzle Bobble, which features two simultaneous players. My attempt
has similar level layouts. I may develop it into a full-fledged clone, but
all I had in mind from the start was to make a freeware game that people
would try before downloading spyware like Snood, that seems to pretend
originality.

I have two other freeware games in production, a roguelike rpg, and a
solitaire.

Sounds like FrozenBubbles. Might Google that name.

I like BubblePuzzle 97. Not sure if it works on XP. It does on NT so
