game install problem

when i put the game in it doesn't show anything about installing it goes
straight to the game. just as soon as it comes up there's an error message

direct player error
script error

is it the computer or my game?
i've had it installed before.

I've had it installed before.

Look on the CD for a file titled Setup.exe or Install.exe Run that
program to properly install the game. If it still doesn't install, it's
because you didn't remove the game properly the last time. The game
sees something in the registry, or sees a file and thinks there's a good
install. Try removing the game from Add/Remove Programs, then insert
the CD again.
