GAL disappears in cached mode

Hi All,

I really am stumped and need help. We have a large environment with multiple
different address books for the different locations. The issue we are seeing
is the following. When a user opens outlook and creates a profile in cached
mode, the default address book is the GAL which it should be. However once
the profile is completed synced the GAL is remove and All Rooms is the
default. If you go into the address book in outlook and look at the options
All Rooms is listed in the "Show this address list first" and in the "When
sending mail, check names using address lists in the following order" All
Rooms is first and NO GAL is listed. This happens on every newly created
profile in cached mode..

Please help.. Thanks in advance!!

It sounds like the off-line address book (OAB) is not correctly published on
the Exchange server.

Just as a follow up..

We only have one OAB currently and yes it is selected for the mailboxes.
This is an Exchange 2007 clustered environment as well. When outlook is in
online mode everything is perfect. If you create a new profile in cached mode
and immediately open the address book you see that the GAL is the first thing
listed. Once the profile completes and still having the address book open, it
changes to All Rooms without touching or changing anything.

Please help on this one, I've never seen this happen before.
Thanks,
Rob
