fyi- interesting internet free radio site

Sometimes when i work I like to listen to music. I like music with no
commercials and i would like to pick the kind of music i like to listen to.

I found a site that allows me to do this without ads or spyware put onto my
computer (i tested this first on my test computer to see if i got spam or
worse). It is free Internet music. It works in ie and firefox.

You can do it without setting up an account but i set one up to test to see
if i get loads of advertisements from it and i do not. I only received one
to confirm my email address to make sure i was legit.

You can set up the type of music you like and you can rate which music you
do not like or like and it will pick only the choices you want.

The site is

http://pandora.com/

you can read about them here

http://pandora.com/mgp

Just remember you must leave the browser open (ie or firefox) for it to
work. You can minimize it and put it on your task bar while you are doing
other things. Just make sure you remember to close the browser when you are
done before you close your computer.

This works on Vista and XP

oh i forgot- there is some ads- not much but as long as you do not click on
them you have no problems, the ads are from legitimate companies but i would
still not take a chance and click on them.
There are no popup boxes so when you minimize the browser- wierd boxes do
not pop up anywhere
and AVG has scanned the site for anything malicious and nothing pops up
and superantispyware pro finds no problems on this site either

One of our local tv reporters had a blog about that site a month ago, pretty
neat. I had never heard of it. I like the fact you can program it to play you
favoirte kind of music as well. Enjoy, and TTYL.

i like the fact it has no commercials in between songs

Hi guys!

I'm using the site http://www.frequence3.fr/ and I didn't find any
troubles with it.
Once you started the chosen player, you can even close the web page, where,
by the way, you can find the song's info.
It's in French but very easy to use.

Enjoy it!

As opposed to pandora.com, the French site doesn't appear to offer
any choices in music. The listener gets just whatever single pop song
they are playing at the moment, strung together mass media style with
what sound like dj mixes. French pop is also very different than that
in the U.S.
