ftp publishing requires a particular port

S

SINGLETSIGMA

Dear Colleagues,

I want publish a website on a remote server and can
contact it by ftp. However for a web page update I am
required to use port 8023 rather than the usual port 21.

Front page goes automatically to port 21 so while it
uploads the files, they presumably go to the wrong
directory.

How can I can I set Frontpage to access the correct port
please.

With many thanks

Singletsigma

what version of FrontPage are you using?

if the server d/n have FrontPage server extensions and you're not using fp
03 you may want to go with a different ftp program.
for instances where I must use ftp I like to use ftp voyager from
www.rhinosoft.com
